Set design
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in stage design from Central St. Martin’s College of Art and Design in 1996, Quiggin worked as an assistant and associate designer on various productions such as The Boy from Oz (Sydney), Whistle Down the Wind (West End), Jesus Christ Superstar (UK tour, Broadway, film), Show Boat (Royal Albert Hall, Lyric Theatre, Chicago, Glimmerglass), Rebecca (Vienna, Stuttgart, St. Gallen), Besuch der Alten Dame (Vienna), Don Camillo und Peppone (Vienna), Arthur (St. Gallen); for London’s National Theatre Copenhagen, The History Boys, Aristocrats, Afterlife and Pinocchio; for Disney Aladdin (California Adventure, Broadway and West End), Mary Poppins (West End, Broadway and tour), Tarzan (Broadway and Germany), Aida (Munich and Germany tour); Opera productions The Queen of Spades (Royal Opera House, London), Porgy and Bess (Washington Opera, Glimmerglass) and Norma (Santiago, Chile), all directed by Francesca Zambello; Katja Kabanova and La Rondine (La Fenice, Venice). As co-stage designer, he worked on Spiral Show (Haitang Bay Theatre, Sanya, China), The Butterfly Princess (Wanda Entertainment, Xishuangbanna, China), Les Contes d’Hoffmann and Carmen (NCPA, Beijing, China). As a set designer, Quiggin designed stage and costumes for Company, Cabaret and A Chorus Line (both Royal Academy of Music, London), Les Misérables (Denmark tour), Is There Life After High School? (Time Out Critics Choice), The House of Bernarda Alba, The Wild Party and RENT (both Bridewell Theatre, London); set design for Oedipus Rex and Cleopatra (Graz Opera, Austria) and costume design for Les Saisons (Royal Ballet, Royal Opera House, London).
